Doc House
PROJECT BACKGROUND
・
2023
Lifestyle is the intangible reward of a well-designed home. It cannot be touched—only felt—and it is crafted uniquely for its owner. To truly appreciate the value of thoughtful design, one must first understand their own needs and desires.
This residence, named after the client’s profession as a doctor, was developed on a ±500 m² plot in Ketapang, West Kalimantan. The client approached us with a clear instruction: to design a home that reflects simplicity, elegance, and individuality.
The architectural language adopts a minimalist approach, while the interior leans toward Minimalist Glam, blending clean lines with subtle luxurious touches. What sets this house apart is its clever use of split-levels, which define spatial transitions with intention and clarity. These level shifts create distinct zoning between functions while offering a dynamic journey through the house—leading occupants from smaller, intimate areas to grander, more open spaces.
The result is a harmonious balance between simplicity and sophistication, functionality and experience—tailored perfectly for its owner’s lifestyle.
